9 September 2026 The North American Middle East Studies Association has created a new website that keeps track of and analyses assaults on academic freedom on account of Palestine advocacy since 7 October 2023. The data is useful, and so too is the advice available on the website to academics who face harassment or threats…
31 August 2026 The Canadian federal government, persuaded to investigate antisemitism on Canadian campuses, handed the task to organisations linked to the same crowd who sought the investigation and, guess what, they confirmed that fully 95 percent of Jewish students experienced antisemitism on campus. Predictably, the mainstream media, including the national broadcaster, the CBC, uncritically…
25 August 2026 Across Britain, universities have taken extreme measures to crush pro-Palestine actions by students and staff. Nowhere has this repression been more severe than at Kings College London, as this report from the civil rights organisation, Liberty, makes plain.hed on 09 July 2026 At least 26 students have faced disciplinary action at King’s…
21 August 2026 David Miller (pictured), a professor of sociology and critic of Israeli influence in Britain, was dismissed by Bristol University in 2021 for his alleged failure to “meet the [university’s] standards of behaviour”, after Zionist students persistently accused him of antisemitic statements. He lodged a complaint against the University at an Employment Tribunal…
18 August 2026 Israeli officials have decided that it is not enough for them to lie about their policies in Palestine: they have created a fake think tank that, with the help of AI chatbots, spews out large numbers of distorted reports on Palestine in order to feed the appetite of other AI chatbots for…

13 August 2026 Once again, a university has decided that criticising Israel’s appalling actions in Palestine is antisemitic and its student perpetrators must be punished. The irony here is that the university in question, Carnegie Mellon in Pittsburgh, has a “free speech fence” where for practically 100 years students have been permitted to express their…
13 August 2026 This powerful essay by Sophie Lewis (pictured) offers a brilliant analysis of Israel’s fictional claims of Hamas’ sexual abuse on 7 October 2023 and its actual sexual abuse of Palestinian prisoners, locating them both within a compelling framework of analysis. This is what it looks like when a society has settled the…
13 August 2026 Two new books describe the corruption of the US mainstream media, which have systematically silenced the Palestinian voice amidst the Israelis’ ethnic cleansing in the Occupied West Bank and genocide in Gaza, yet have signally failed to sustain public support for Israel. Here’s the report in the Electronic Intifada. How complicit media…
13 August 2026 Universities are bastions of free speech and intellectual inquiry. Or at least they are supposed to be. But when it comes to open discussion of injustice and oppression in Palestine, even many universities in the UK have shut down debate, cancelled lectures, obstructed meetings, disciplined faculty and students and even demanded that…
