Some useful online resources from “Campain” for Palestine campaigners

2 June 2026

The following is a message from Jonathan Coulter, secretary of www.campain.org, directed at all those who seek justice for the Palestinian people in face of Israel’s apartheid, ethnic cleansing and genocidal policies and efforts by Israel’s friends in the West who seek to silence them.

Dear  Friend

Invaluable resources for the mediapush-back

CAMPAIN believes the Palestine solidarity movement needs to adopt a coordinated media strategy rather than each entity (PSC, British Palestine Project, Independent Media outlets, JVL etc.) acting in an isolated manner. We need to get through to the millions of British people who the mainstream media has kept in the dark, and are scarcely aware of British responsibility for the horror visited on the Palestine and the Middle East. While to achieve this will be an immense task, some important building blocks are already in place, notably:

Double Down Newswatch. Double Down News has been producing excellent material for years, but starting on May 6th, Richard Sanders launched weekly bulletins with news from Independent Media outlets that remains unseen on the mainstream. This looks like a major advance, providing an insightful and concise weekly digest of news for people to share with friends. The latest episode of May 22nd has already had about 350,000 views. See this article for further information, and add your comments below it.

Newscord. This AI-assisted website analyses how the mainstream media addresses different topics and allows subscribers to launch actions in the form of comment and complaints. These are sent to the relevant news outlets and their regulators (IPSO for newspapers, OFCOM for broadcasters), MPs and other relevant parties. You can see here a list or recent actions which you yourselves can support. It has resulted in people writing from a few dozen up to a million emails on a given topic. We wait to see the cumulative impact of this activity.

Palestine News. This is a free newspaper produced by a group of independent journalists who use clear language to tell ordinary Bits truths that the mainstream will not cover. Volunteers distribute it at railway stations, football matches, music festivals, and anywhere else with a good footfall. Vigils and street stalls for Palestine have proved excellent points for distribution. If you would like copies when it hits the street – they come in bundles of 150 – please advise [email protected]. Provide your full postal address, your email and phone number, and they will be posted to you free of charge. On a separate topic, I draw your attention to Stuart Littlewood’s insightful article about Keir Starmer’s appointment of Gordon Brown as a special envoy on global finance, especially defence and security-related investment.

Best wishes.
